BEATALLICA To Perform On Chicago's Morning TV Show

July 3, 2006

Milwaukee-based BEATALLICA, a satirical mashup act whose hilarious schtick marries the songwriting prowess of the BEATLES to the deep-throated rock growl of METALLICA, will promote their July 15 appearance at the Loopfest in Chicago by performing live on WGN-TV on Tuesday, July 11 beginning at about 8:15 a.m. CST. "We'll do a few 'teasers' and a three-minute live song," the band write on their web site. "Have some cold pizza, that left over pale ale, and wake up with us!"

Upcoming BEATALLICA shows:

Jul. 03 - Summerfest (Rock Stage) - Milwaukee, WI
Jul. 15 - Loopfest - Chicago, IL

BEATALLICA made headlines early last year when received help from METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich in their dispute with the Sony Corporation over BEATALLICA's "unlawful use" of the group's compositions "without authorization or license." The case has since been resolved, with BEATALLICA being allowed once again to operate their web site, Beatallica.org, and continue performing their patented blend of BEATLES tunes in a METALLICA style.
